H1N1 Vaccination Clinic Planned for November 14 St. Charles County, MO - The St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment is pleased to announce that SARA Services will be conducting an H1N1 flu vaccination clinic for county residents on Saturday, November 14. The clinic will take place at the Stegton Conference Center, 1450 Wall St. in St. Charles from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or while vaccine supplies last. “This is just the first of several clinics we have planned in St. Charles County,” said Bruce Megenhardt, director of operations for SARA Services. “While vaccine supplies are still low, we felt it was important to reach out now to get as many people as we can vaccinated against the H1N1 virus.” “We are happy to be able to partner with experienced flu vaccine providers such as SARA Services to get H1N1 vaccine to residents,” said Gil Copley, director of the Department of Community Health and the Environment. “Our department has been providing vaccine to medical practices, hospitals, and schools in St. Charles County, and this clinic will provide an opportunity for those in the risk groups who do not have a health care provider in St. Charles County to obtain H1N1 vaccine.” 1,500 doses of H1N1 vaccine will be available at the clinic. Because of the limited supply of vaccine, only those falling into one of the five following categories will receive vaccinations. They are:
There will be two clinic sessions. People who pre-booked and received confirmation from SARA Services will be vaccinated during the first session from 8 a.m. to noon. People without a reservation, including those who were wait-listed, can obtain a line ticket starting at 8 a.m. This ticket will allow them to obtain vaccine during the second session which begins at 12:30 p.m. People who were wait-listed should bring a copy of their wait list e-mail to receive priority for the second session. Only those who have been previously confirmed or receive a line ticket will be vaccinated. There is an administration charge for the vaccination. Additional clinics are planned when vaccine becomes available.
