St. Charles County faces the threat of natural, biological, chemical and man-made disasters throughout the year, and when these emergencies strike, members of our community are among the first to reach out and lend a hand. Strategic mobilization of vital resources and the timely distribution of assistance can often be the difference between life and death in a devastating event.
To best prepare our community and to effectively respond in times of need, non-profit, governmental, volunteer, faith-based, public service and private business organizations are all invited to join a new committee — the St. Charles County Community Organizations Active in Disaster. By working in coordination and following a mutually agreed upon plan, our COAD seeks to meet unmet needs and minimize duplication of services that will help our residents and businesses to quickly recover from emergencies.
Any St. Charles County agency or organization that is interested in playing a role in this effort is invited to join our team. For information on joining St. Charles County’s COAD or on our next meeting, please contact our Program Manager at 636-949-3023.
