Helpful Tips For Searching:
Using AND, OR, and NOT
If you want to refine your search a little, you can use special search operators in your search criteria (Keywords) to get more specific results.

Operator Effect Example
AND Searches for documents that have both words in it. Children AND Vaccinations
OR Searches for documents that have either word in it. Children OR Vaccinations
NOT Eliminates documents where the word is found. Children NOT Vaccinations

Using Parentheses and Quotation Marks
To further refine your search, use parantheses and quotation marks.
Character Purpose Example
(Parentheses) Determines how ANDs and ORs are treated. Words with parentheses are considered a unit, and are considered first. Children OR (School AND Vaccinations)
Vaccinations AND (Children NOT Adults)
"Quotation Marks" Quoted words or phrases are searched for literally. Useful when you want to search for the actual words and or or. "Health AND Safety"
Schedule AND "School Vaccination"

Using Wildcards
To further refine your search, use parantheses and quotation marks.
Wildcard Purpose
* Stands in for any number of characters (including 0). A search for Re* would find Recycle, Remain, and Resources.
? ? stands for any single character. More precise - and thus generally less helpful- than the * wildcard.

Case Sensitivity
By default, the search function becomes case sensitive if the keywords you input are of mixed case. For example, a search for children -- or for CHILDREN -- will find children, Children, or CHILDREN. But a search for Children, only finds Children, not children or CHILDREN.

It is recommended that you enter your search term(s) in all UPPERCASE or lowercase unless you want your search to be case sensitive.

The system will search page titles and page content. For example, if you search for the word "Family", each page that has the word "Family" on it will be returned. Some of the pages may not be relevent to your search. For more information on increasing your search success please review the information to the left.
