Healthy Communities St. Charles County is a coalition of organizations and individuals concerned
with working to improve the health and quality of life of St. Charles County residents. The St.
Charles County Department of Community Health, representing St. Charles County Government, is an
active coalition member and has provided financial support several program initiatives. Healthy
Communities participants include:

The coalition does its work mostly through task forces. Currently there are 13 active task forces (see below).
The St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment (DOCHE) has participated
in periodic and ongoing community assessments, which support the targeting of the 13 issues addressed
by the task forces. As the public health department for St. Charles County, the DOCHE maintains
the following list of links in support of the task forces and their efforts.
These links are also intended to assist the public in finding information relating to
these 13 areas deemed to be of great importance in promoting the Department of
Community Health and the Environment's goal of "A county of healthy, informed
individuals living in a healthy, safe environment".
