Pet Adoption Center Celebrates Success
Community generosity leads to successful month

St. Charles County - December was a busy month at the St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center! The center hosted its annual holiday adoption day and celebrated its 5 year anniversary on Saturday, December 18 th. The day was a huge success with 38 dogs and 12 cats adopted and going home to celebrate the holidays with new families. A special thank you to the many wonderful volunteers and staff members who played such an important role in the success of the event.

Girl scouts from Francis Howell School District made a special presentation to the Pet Adoption Center on December 22. Brownie Troop #238 and Junior Troop #1970 raised $1,500 with a “Pennies for Pets” campaign. The girls went door-to-door raising the money. The money will be used for additional exercise areas for the dogs at the shelter.
