FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, February 02, 2004 St. Charles County Division of Emergency
Management Revises Website St. Charles County -St. Charles County's Division of Emergency Management redesigned its website to provide new features that make gathering information much easier for site visitors. The Emergency Management link at www.scchealth.org provides enhanced information, links on issues of homeland security, and one-click access to timely weather data. Instant access to National Weather Service alerts and warnings is an added feature expected to be especially helpful in the rapidly approaching severe weather season. "The redesigned site is a part of our continuing effort to provide the highest level of preparedness by mitigating the effects of major emergencies and disasters on life, property and the environment," said Rod Zerr, Director of the Division of Emergency Management. Included among the website's new content is extensive information for family and home emergency preparedness, resource links to assist in such preparations, and information on joining the Division of Emergency Management Volunteer Program. Online contact forms also allow requests for staff members to provide group and school presentations on emergency preparedness and other topics. Access the enhanced website at www.scchealth.org through links to the "Division of Emergency Management" at the top or side of the page. E-mail comments to the division at ctyema@mail.win.org.
