The Heat is On!

St. Charles County helps citizens with "Summer Safety"

St. Charles County, MO - Memorial Day weekend marks the traditional start to the summer season. While backyard cookouts, lazy days at the pool, and other "fun in the sun" activities are on many peoples' minds, the St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment is encouraging residents to think about their safety as well.

To help citizens prepare for the upcoming season, the Department is launching a "Summer Safety" campaign. It includes fact sheets on heat safety, food safety at outdoor events, preventing insect−borne diseases, safety in the sun, and keeping healthy while visiting petting zoos and farms. The entire "Summer Safety" package is available for download on the Department's website at www.scchealth.org. Just look under "Timely Topics" at the bottom of the homepage.
