Chemical Collections at Your Convenience

Appointments not always necessary at Recycle Works Central

 

St. Charles County, MO - St. Charles County Recycle Works Central is your FREE solution for disposing of hazardous household waste. Now, on a trial basis, Recycle Works Central will accept paint and other chemicals without an appointment Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 to 11:00am. In addition, paint ONLY will be accepted on Saturdays without an appointment from 9:00 to 11:00am.

If residents are unable to make these times, appointments can still be made by calling (636) 949-7900, extension 4271. Recycle Works Central, located at 60 Triad South Drive in St. Charles, is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The St. Charles County Chemical Collection program runs through October 31.

How can you determine what’s hazardous? Look for the words "WARNING" or "DANGER" on the label. Common household hazardous wastes include paint, stain, paint thinner, cleaners, solvents, antifreeze, motor oil, and batteries.
