Monkey Reunited with Family

St. Charles County, MO - After a five-day solo "adventure," Tobi has been reunited with her family. The capuchin monkey escaped from the home of Dr. Jack and Shirley Wipfler last Tuesday, and apparently spent her time swinging through the trees along the Katy Trail in southeast St. Charles County. She was found Sunday afternoon near the Family Arena.

Animal control officers from the Division of Humane Services assisted the Wipflers in the search for their lost pet. Theresa Williams, Director of Humane Services, said, "Although looking for a monkey is a little bit unusual for us, this incident demonstrates the commitment our staff has to the safety and well−being of all animals in St. Charles County. We are grateful for the assistance from the public in helping to locate Tobi, and we're glad this story has a happy ending."
