New Operating Hours at Recycling Centers

Temporary reduction takes effect October 20

St. Charles County, MO -The St. Charles County Division of Environmental Services will temporarily reduce operating hours at its recycling centers in St. Charles and Wentzville. Effective Monday, Oct. 20, both Recycle Works Central and Recycle Works West will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Hours of operation at both facilities are expected to return to normal in December.

Recycle Works Central and Recycle Works West complement curbside recycling programs in St. Charles County and offer a convenient way for residents to dispose of unwanted household hazardous chemicals and household appliances. Since the first center opened in 1990, nearly 25 million pounds of recyclables and other materials have been kept out of landfills. For more information about Recycle Works Central, Recycle Works West, or the Division of Environmental Services, visit www.scchealth.org/es or call (636) 949-7415.
