New Hours at St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center
Success and Service of Humane Services Facility Grows

St. Charles County -The St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is announcing new hours of public access. The new schedule is intended to make the facility more "animal-friendly" and "user-friendly" at the same time. It will ultimately increase the effectiveness of the county's already successful humane services program.

Beginning in December, the Pet Adoption Center, located at 4850 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and until 6:30 pm on Wednesdays. The Pet Adoption Center is also open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The new later Wednesday hours are intended to make visiting the center easier for those coming by after work. Telephone assistance is still available beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The change in hours also allows the Division of Humane Services staff to provide a more focused level of service to animals in the county's care. Necessary veterinary, cleanup, facility maintenance, and administrative duties can be performed between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. to prepare for visits from the public in search of a lost pet or looking to adopt a new pet.

The St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center serves St. Charles County through sheltering and adopting animals, providing pet owner education, animal control services, and investigation of incidents involving animal cruelty and neglect. Visit the Pet Adoption Center at 4850 Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
