Missouri Department of Health WIC Program Increases Income
Guidelines for WIC services

St. Charles County - The St. Charles County Department of Community Health and the Environment has announced that a contract to continue to provide WIC services for federal fiscal year 2006 has been signed with the Missouri Department of Health (Contract #ERS045-6192).  WIC (The Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children) provides specific nutritious supplemental foods and nutrition education to pregnant and breastfeeding women, postpartum women, infants, and children up to age 5 at no cost to the individual. WIC guidelines count the unborn child as a member of the family when income eligibility is determined.  The program is open to persons who meet the WIC income guidelines shown below and are determined by health professionals to be at nutritional risk.
