Midwest Earthquakes 1992 - 1996

1992 through 1996 seizmic disturbances arising from the New Madrid Fault Zone. Information is received routinely by autofax from University of Memphis and National Weather Wire from National Earthquake Center. Data is entered by latitude and longitude into the St. Charles County EMD Geographic Emergency Information System on a daily basis to track activity. This is routinely shared with all 24-hour dispatch centers, within the County that have the EIS system via digital communication broadcasting from the County Emergency Operations Center. Like severe thunderstorms, flood stages and earthquake seizmic activity, the St. Charles County Division of Emergency Management closely monitors on a 7 day 24-hour basis.
