Question: I have a wild animal in my garage and I need to get rid of it. What can I do? Answer: Please call the Conservation Department at 636-441-4554 or Critter Control at 636-947-9448. The conservation Department regulates wildlife and they will advise you as to how this should be handled or they will issue you a trap. Critter Control will pick up the animal for a fee. We do not have traps available for wildlife. If this wild animal has bitten a human or domestic animal it is urgent for it to be reported immediately to this the Division of Humane Services 636-949-PETS (7387). Question: I have bees, wasps and hornets and want to get rid of them? Answer: Please call Critter Control at 636-947-9448 Question: I have an injured hawk, owl, eagle or other bird of prey. What should I do? Answer: The World Bird Sanctuary at 636-938-6193 will give you advice as to how this animal should be handled. They also have educational programs. Answer: Our adoption program has been so successful, that we suggest you come in personally and view the animals available for adoption. Although we can give you some information on what is available on the telephone, it is very likely that the animal that sounds like the pet you want will be gone when you come in. Some animals are adopted within MINUTES of being put in the adoption area! |
