Federal Agencies
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention The CDC is the nation's premiere resource for all areas of public health. Its many organizations are targeted to the consumer and professional alike.
The Environmental Protection Agency Concerned with the protection of our nation's natural resources, the EPA's site is a wealth of information, presented in Spanish and English, on the latest developments and research on air, water and soil issues.
Food and Drug Administration The FDA regulates the production of drugs in the U.S. as well as oversight of interstate food commerce. This site is a wonderful source of information on a wide range of topics.
Food Safety and Inspection Service A branch of the USDA, this group has much of the latest information on the topics of food safety and inspection, with information for consumers and professionals alike.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration This agency regulates issues regarding safety and health in the workplace. (A division of the U.S. Department of Labor.)
U.S. Department of Agriculture The USDA is responsible for inspection of meats, poultry and other agricultural products, nationwide. It has a large list of related information as well as everything you need to know about the organization itself.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services The HHS is the U.S. Government's primary agency responsible for protecting the health of the nation's citizens. It regulates food safety as well as providing a great number of service programs.

Missouri State Government The resource center for all state agencies, with informational sites and a kids' section.
The Missouri Department of Health At the present, this site does not feature many links for the community health and environmental segment of the DOH, however it is being rapidly expanded.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources This agency governs our state's parks and historic areas, as well as protecting our environmental resources.
