SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR YOUR TUBERCULOSIS PATIENT

Tuberculosis Skin Tests (Mantoux method)
·Minimal fee charged with the exception of TB case contacts

Case Management of Tuberculosis Patients
In cooperation with the Missouri Department of Health, tuberculosis medications are provided at no cost to cases of both active disease and infection. An order from the patients' physician is required. Direct observed therapy (DOT) is recommended and available for active cases.
Patients are given monthly appointments at the Health Department to monitor compliance and tolerance of treatment. (Per protocols from the Missouri Department of Health Bureau of Tuberculosis Control). Sputum cultures (AFB) are available at no cost to the patient. Testing is done at the Missouri Department of Health Laboratory at Mt. Vernon, Missouri
